The race route follows state, town and village roads that are not entirely closed to traffic. There may be snow, ice, and sleet, etc. The course has some rolling hills with the run to the finish line being slightly downhill. Roads will be plowed by state, town, and villiage highway departments as close to race time as possible.
No headphones, baby joggers, or animals. Volunteer road marshals will have safety vests and flags to aid in staying on track. Use of walkie - talkies and cell phones will be in play by road marshals.
There will be a water station on the race route. Cones will be used to section off partially closed roadways including Rt 20. CAVAC medical services will be on hand in the event of a medical emergency. The local police and area sheriff departments have been notified of and are involved in this race.
